.... remember those? HA!
Original prompting post HERE Responses Round 1 HERE
Now for Round 2! With extra crack! HAHA!
J is for: Juicy (M/N Highlander!Verse)
Nolan watched rapt as Lorna brought the sun ripe berry to her full lips. She took a bite, the berry fairly exploding against her lips and staining them red. Sweet juice spilled over her chin, a droplet racing down her long, graceful neck and disappearing down her bodice.
It was time he followed that droplet.
N is for: Noogie (Lachlan)
“GET OFF!” Declan screamed, swatting ineffectively at the much larger boy who currently had him a chokehold.
“Aww, Declan! You need to learn to lighten up… let your hair get mussed.” Lachlan laughed as he gave the younger boy a noogie.
R is for: Rose (R/J - either a person or flower)
He had given her many things, many treasures. All for the sake of impressing her. This was the simplest thing, a wild rose picked in the garden. It was beautiful and perfect.
He said goodbye to her and asked that she would remember him. She not only remembered him, she thought of him everyday. She let the rose dry on her windowsill, keeping it forever as a reminder of him.
S is for: Stolen Kilt (Nolan or Lachlan)
“Will it ever end?” Kenzie groaned one fine spring morning.
“What is it?” Lorna asked as she stopped by his side.
“This idiotic game!”
“What are you talking about?” She wrinkled her nose up at him.
“Look outside,” he nodded.
In the field below the kitchen window Lorna could see her husband, naked as the day he was born, making a mad dash after a wildly laughing Sachairi; stolen kilt in hand.
“Oh my,” Lorna breathed. “I thought they outgrew that!”
“Apparently not. Also it appears the saying is true: ‘like father, like son.’ He nodded again and Lorna stood on tip to see better.
Sure enough next came a madly laughing Declan with Lachlan hot on his heels.
U is for: Uncle Lachlan
Lachlan relished his title of uncle, and he would be lying if he said he didn’t shoot for “favorite uncle.”
Any given day he could be seen out in the fields with the boys playing monster or knights and dragons or building forts. He could be seen playing tea with the girls or giving piggyback rides.
But this? This was pushing things too far.
“Hold still, Lachlan!” Isobel ordered and took something from Estella.
“Bonito!” The dark haired girl cried, clapping wildly. His own daughters were practically turning cartwheels in their excitement.
Little Elise crawled into Lachlan’s lap and smiled up at him. “Onkel pretty!”
Lachlan managed a smile for Elise’s sake, waiting until she crawled off his lap before he started pouting again.
Having daisy chains braided into your hair was not a pleasurable experience.
